Rich Dad,Poor Dad by Robert T.Kiyosaki

This book is an eye opener as to why most people are stuck in the rat race.I have often wondered why a number of people are living from paycheck to paycheck and are enslaved by the house mortgages and bills.I am one of the many who up to now running the race but lost and bound to endlessly run with no vision of when I will reach the finish line. I knew I needed to do something but I don't know where to start.I begin to wonder what rich people do differently.I know that not all rich people are born with the silver spoon, some are actually broke, dirt-poor and penniless but amazingly were able to turn their life around. The only question is How?How did they do it?Is their some formula or hidden secrets? For some reason other people does not wish and dream to be extremely wealthy they just want to have their basic needs met.I am definitely not one of them. I've seen people die without even realizing and experiencing their dreams. They have given up their hopes and accepts that life is hard, just the way it is..As for me,life is too short so it must be live to its fullest. For that, there must be a way out of the race.In my search for answers I found this book,Rich Dad Poor Dad amazingly,it shows me what I have been missing all along. It gives me a clearer insight on the subject of money..Living in the third world country I know first hand how hard life is,majority are struggling and are trap in the rat race. This book somehow explains why and It definitely change the way I think about money and how to manage it.Surprisingly the message is quite simple  but few people realize it.As to the answer on the question of What do the rich people do differently?Financial Literacy. Here are some quote from the book I want to comment on..

// Does school prepare children for the real world? "Study hard and get good grades and you will find a high-paying job with great benefits,"//

First few lines from the book and it hit me.My father always use to say this words to me and I often hear this lines from almost all of the parents I know of.Well, nothing wrong with getting good grades. It sure is one of the key element of becoming successful. But ls it really?Does the education and good grades really assures us of a high paying job?Come to think of it some successful people are college drop out like Bill Gates,Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and many others.Try to look around, noticed how many degree holder out there who doesn't have a job, or if they do they hated their job? As the book quote's.

// Money is not taught in schools. Schools focus on scholastic and professional skills, but not on financial skills. This explains how smart bankers, doctors and accountants who earned excellent grades in school may still struggle financially all of their lives. //

True isn't it? I never have thought of it before. Now,I wonder why schools does not taught us to focus on the subject of financial skills..Is it because schools doesn't really know how it works too?Are they trap in the race like most of us? Anyway, here's a sample on how the Rich Dad and Poor Dad differs in their point of view with regards to money.

// One dad had a habit of saying, "I can't afford it." The other dad forbade those words to be used. He insisted I say, "How can I afford it?" One is a statement, and the other is a question. One lets you off the hook, and the other forces you to think. My soon-to-be-rich dad would explain that by automatically saying the words "I can't afford it," your brain stops working. By asking the question "How can I afford it?" your brain is put to work.//

For countless times I have said the words "I can't afford it"  then I try forget that I want it.Now,It is a great know that one day I can afford it,I just have to find a way on how.As the famous quote say's "If there's a will there's  a way." .Glad to know there is hope in achieving  and living my dreams.

Lessons to learn from the book..

Money comes and goes, but if you have the education about how money works, you gain power over it and can begin building wealth.
